Kimberly Herbert Gregory was a character actress who spent decades honing her skills on stage before becoming a recognizable face in film and television. Born on 1973 in Houston, TX, Gregory began her path to acting at Houston's High School of the Performing and Visual Arts, before matriculating at Mount Holyoke College, where she earned a BA in psychology, and the University of Chicago, receiving a master's degree in social work. After graduation, she stayed in Chicago, and soon began appearing in a number of stage productions for the Chicago Theatre Company, beginning in the late 1990s. In 2007, Gregory made her film debut in the Chris Rock romantic dramedy "I Think I Love My Wife" (2007), with roles in the likes of "Red Hook Summer" (2012), "White Alligator" (2012), and "The Genesis of Lincoln" (2014) to follow. She also became a regular fixture on television, appearing on such programs as "Gossip Girl" (The CW, 2007-2012), "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-), "Two and a Half Men" (CBS, 2003-2015), and "The Big Bang Theory" (CBS, 2007-). Gregory earned her first series regular gig playing Lucinda Miller on the dramedy "Devious Maids" (Lifetime, 2013-2016). Gregory's breakout role came in 2016, as principal Dr. Belinda Brown on Danny McBride's HBO comedy series "Vice Principals" (HBO, 2016-2017). Following guest spots on "Brooklyn Nine Nine" (FOX, 2013-), and "Better Call Saul" (AMC, 2015-), Gregory was cast in her first leading role in the Jason Ritter-led fall dramedy "The Gospel of Kevin" (ABC, 2017-).
